Indiana Live Casino was opened in mid-2008 in a temporary building while the vast expanse that would soon become the true Indiana Live Casino was completed. The temporary facility offered a miniscule 70,000 square feet, compared to the impressive 233,000 square foot facility that finally saw its grand opening in March of 2009. The spectacular event resulted in Indiana Live Casino becoming the largest land-based casino in all the Midwest.
Indiana Live Casino offers a versatile gaming opportunity with over 2,000 slot machines, video poker machines and electronic table games combined. Three scrumptious dining venues are available within the Indiana casino. Nightly entertainment can be found in the Center Bar, while the Nascar Sports Grille displays the biggest sporting events, with live entertainment on the weekends. Another form of gambling and entertainment combined comes from the live horse track at Indiana Downs, open daily.
Indiana Live Casino – Hotel & Amenities
Indiana Live Casino does not house a hotel or any other form of accommodations on the premises. There are three dining areas – the Maker’s Mark Bourbon House & Lounge, the Center Bar, located directly in the center of the casino floor with nightly live entertainment, and the Nascar Sports Grille, featuring sporting events on a number of large screen televisions, and live entertainment on Friday’s and Saturdays.
Indiana Live Casino is located just down the way from Indiana Downs live horse racing track. Indiana Downs is open daily from 11am to 12 midnight. A wall-sized flat screen view of the horse racing action is available in the casino. Place your wagers and watch the action without ever leaving the casino floor.
Indiana Live Casino Games
The Indiana casino features 233,000 square feet of casino gaming floors, packed with over 1,800 slot machines and video poker machines. There is a multitude of electronic gaming tables, including 14 Blackjack tables, plus 3 Card Poker and Roulette. Indiana Live Casino boasts the largest poker room in the area, with 100 seats, all automated.
The High Limit Room features slot machines and electronic gaming tables with stakes of $1 to $100.
Indiana Live Casino Tournaments
Multi-table poker tournament are held every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at Indiana Live Casino. Sit’n’Go tournaments start up regularly, as soon as enough players are available to participate. There is a minimum of 10 players (one full table) required.
Wacky Wednesday Tournament @ 12pm: $50+$10 NL Holdem, 10-60 players max.
