Ameristar Casino and Hotel, used to be owned by Harrah’s casino group. The original Indiana based casino opened her doors in 1997. That existing casino was later acquired by Ameristar in September 2007. The casino then underwent a $30 million face lift, and became
an Ameristar Casino Hotel in June 2008. The Casino is located in East Chicago, Indiana.
